The
Telinc TL3580 CSU/DSU includes both DDS and T-1 interfaces.
It can be used as a multi-rate DDS CSU/DSU or as a T-1 or
fractional T-1 CSU/DSU. Everything is included so users can
simply switch from one mode to the other. The versatile TL3580
can also be used as an LDM operating at speeds from 2400 bps
to 1.536 Mbps.
DDS
Mode
When
used as a DDS CSU/DSU, the TL3580 provides the interface between
customer equipment and a DDS facility. It operates at speeds
of 2400, 4800, 9600, 19,200, 56,000 and 64,000 bps. V.35,
RS232 and RS530/RS422 interfaces are included as standard.
T-1
Mode
When
used as a T-1 CSU/DSU, the TL3580 provides the interface between
customer equipment and a T-1 or fractional T-1 facility. It
supports D4 or ESF framing with AMI or B8ZS coding. The customer
interface can operate at any multiple of 56 or 64 Kbps. The
TL3580 is also available without the T-1 interface as the
TL3080. |
SNMP
Management
The
TL3580 can be controlled from the front panel, from a local
or remote ASCII console or from an SNMP management platform.
Like other Telinc products, TL3580 units include an embedded
SNMP agent and are MIB II-compliant. They support SNMP gets,
sets and traps. The TL3580 can also be configured with DIP
switches conveniently located behind the front panel. Each
switch is clearly marked.
Full Time Status Reporting
Twenty-two
LEDs show full operating status at all times. Testing of the
local and the remote, unattended unit is initiated using front-panel
switches or from the console. The user can choose from a variety
of local and remote loopbacks. A built-in 2047 pattern generator
and checker is also included.
Multi-Unit Installations
The
TL3580 console port supports VT100 terminals and dial modems.
Up to eight units can be daisy-chained together and controlled
by a single local or remote console. A rack mount frame is
available for mounting up to eight units. |
